HOW TO MAKE PREDICTIONS THROUGH STORYTELLING
June 17, 2007
The first rule is to not listen to what is said but to focus on what is done.
No strategist has ever told the truth. Sorry to tell you this.
There are two kinds of story followers. Those that are and those that are not psychopaths.
1. Psychopaths will do anything to anyone. Everything for self. Everything is clear. All resources are theirs.
2. Those that are not psychopaths follow a dominant alpha and omega assembled story,
symbols, myths, and fairytales. The only thing that you can be sure of is that you will never directly be told the truth.
The storytelling approach requires that you are able to decode what is transferred.
Once you identify the story that you believe is followed make predictions of how you would act if you followed that story.
Each time a prediction moves in that direction this supports your interpretation of a story that is actually followed.
Lets follow this idea for awhile.
No one is suggesting that the climate is cooling. They all are say everyday it is warming. The reason is that scientists are so
poorly educated and are trained to be extremely linear. They are forced and rewarded for looking through a tunnel. This is all they can bring to a professional decision.
Try to find people that are not crazy that are saying different things. Even include those that you may deem crazy because they may have identified trends even though their reasons may be on the fringe. Identify people with ideas that are different but that have still gained access to particular power. Do not look at what is generally said in any mass market outlets. These outlets are their to direct, subdue, and
calm the mob. Even though the mass market outlets always support the story in power they will place an obscure sentence that covers them if they are ever found out.
Occasionally these mass market outlets let something through in the beginning but it will have disappear by the next day.
Be very careful of so called acceptable mass media academics from your own country. These are the story rats. They are so easy to co-opt. Academics outside your own country are much more free to identify and peruse ideas about others as long as they do not challenge their own country's story. How many
inventions and break through ideas have you identified that are implemented outside of your own nation? Very few but they are there.
The climate is warming but this has been only for a brief periods of time before returning to an ice age. Listened to Harm de Blij "Why Geography Matters" on C-Span talking to the power elite or read his book. Then tell yourself what you think.
Once you make the shift to an understand of the power of our stories on thinking you will be a lot better decision marker.
The less time and effort you put in to this site the less capable you will be
in identifying what power knows and how to apply that to marketing.
